Ambus

The AmbuBus (Bus Stretcher Conversion Kit) from First Line Technology is an effective and efficient solution for mass evacuation and transport of special needs patients, casualties, and others who require non-ambulatory transport. The Kit comes in three configuration options (No-Notice, On-Demand, and Surge) and can quickly and easily retrofit buses or areas of opportunity into mass casualty transport vehicles or staging areas. Just one palletized kit (which includes two frames), is capable of transporting or housing up to 18 stretchers and medical equipment, plus medical personnel.

No-Notice (Permanent) Configuration: A permanently installed AmbuBus Kit allows a mass transit vehicle to be converted into a turnkey mass casualty transport system for earthquakes and other no-notice disasters. The No-Notice AmbuBus Configuration is less expensive than a traditional Ambulance Bus, reconfigurable in the field, and transferable in case of vehicle malfunction.

On-Demand (Temporary) Configuration: A temporarily installed AmbuBus Kit allows for the use of an everyday vehicle to be converted on-demand into a mass casualty transport system for hurricanes and other disasters. The On-Demand AmbuBus Configuration allows the vehicle to be restored to daily use without recertification, can be disassembled and stored for future disasters, and has a very low maintenance cost.

Surge (Free-Standing) Configuration: A free-standing, temporarily installed AmbuBus Kit enables efficient use of limited floor space during staging and sheltering operations. The Surge AmbuBus Configuration is rapidly deployable and can be set up inside any shelter of opportunity (including tents, schools, or hangars).

DMS
Disaster Management Systems -- Established since 1996, Disaster Management Systems was created to help address the newly identified threats facing our nation’s first responders. Disaster Management Systems has led the industry as innovators of simple, effective ICS, and Multi-casualty response tool. Our All-Risk® Triage Tag was the first new product designed specifically to support first responders in a post 9-11 world. Since inception, DMS products have been designed to support the Incident Command System. This same system has been incorporated into the National Incident Management System
(NIMS).

SNA
Following their extensive participation in the 9/11 World Trade Center and Hurricane Katrina victim identification work, the founders of SNA International realized the need to bring a group of experienced professionals together to help government organizations create and implement mass fatality plans based on real-world experience.  In 2006, SNA identified and brought together the best and the brightest individuals with end-to-end mass fatality experience in the disciplines of Family Assistance, Body Recovery, Morgue Operations and Information Technology.  By building a comprehensive team of professionals with hands-on experience, SNA can now offer clients the experience and lessons learned from many different mass fatality responses.

Local resources can quickly be overwhelmed by a mass casualty incident.  Natural Disasters, Bus Accidents, Public Events, Hospital, NICU and Nursing Home Evacuations all call for the treatment and transport of multiple patients.  The MAB® Medical Ambulance Bus from Sartin Services is designed and engineered to handle these scenarios.

With a  transport capacity of 20 stretchered patients and/or up to 10 wheelchairs with stretchered patients a single MAB® can handle patient volumes usually associated with entire ambulance fleets.  MAB®s are multi-purpose vehicles with command center and fire-fighter rehab capabilities designed into each vehicle.

For MAB® owners patient treatment is just as important as patient transport.  Sartin Services vehicles incorporate high output generators and a patent pending oxygen storage system. Paramedic work stations, climate control systems, bathrooms, and comfortable, safe attendant seating give responders the resources they need to handle any emergency response situation.

Wireless monitoring and trending of all 20 patients is handled by the Athena GTX Wireless Vital Signs Monitor. The WVSM™ system allows for the effective real-time management of large patient volumes from a centralized location.  The patient-worn system deploys quickly during triage and automatically streams vital signs throughout transport.

Sartin Services emergency response vehicles are purpose built on proven, crash-tested frames and bodies.  MAB® units are actively responding to emergencies all over the United States.  Please contact us if you would like more information or tour a MAB® in person.

LSU

The Interim LSU Public Hospital (ILH) is the critical component in the provision of graduate medical education and quality healthcare in South Louisiana. A tertiary healthcare center, the ILH and its specialty and primary care clinics support the LSU and Tulane medical schools and their residency programs. Thousands of students from these two schools, the LSU schools of dentistry, nursing, and allied health, the Xavier University College of Pharmacy, and other nursing schools depend on ILH as their training site. ILH community clinics bring quality healthcare to neighborhoods where many would forego healthcare because of no transportation or an inability to pay. These community clinics, all accredited by the NCQA as “Medical Homes,” offer comprehensive primary healthcare and coordinated access to specialty care. The HIV Outpatient Program (HOP), a nationally recognized center for HIV healthcare, training, and research, and other specialty clinics complement the comprehensive and coordinated ILH network, which provides quality healthcare to anyone who needs it, the insured, underinsured, and uninsured. ILH participates in the LSU Disease Management Program, which manages chronic diseases according to nationally accepted, evidence-based guidelines. The LSU Level 1 Trauma Center, the only one in South Louisiana, provides care to all major trauma victims in New Orleans and its surrounding ten-parish area. The presence of a Level 1 trauma Center indicates that LSU is a premier provider of comprehensive healthcare services. The trauma center provides optimal care for injured patients with full trauma-center staff, facilities, and services available twenty-four hours a day. The Greater New Orleans area relies exclusively on ILH for this highly specialized, comprehensive care. Besides being an essential component of superior healthcare and a hallmark of a first-rate community, the LSU Level 1 Trauma Center attracts outstanding surgical residents for post-graduate training by ILH staff, who are nationally recognized and among the best in the nation.
