MA Region 4A Medical Reserve Corps Coordinator
- Built the MA Region 4A Medical Reserve Corps organization from the ground up to almost 5,000 volunteers
- 2010 Received the top 10 driller award from Safe America
- Coordinated shelter staffing during the 2010 spring floods in Massachusetts in partnership with the American Red Cross
- Coordinated staffing for the water distribution centers during the MWRA water contamination
- Coordinated H1N1 clinics across Region dispensing over 100,000 vaccines to the at risk populations
- Managed the 2008 Ice storm Medical Reserve Corps deployment to staff Special needs shelters
- Chairing the State Wide MRC committee and the State Training committee
- Working with the CORI Board to have a by-law written for MRC’s to get CORI background checks approved and fee exempt for all MRC is Massachusetts
- Partnering with the Boston Marathon to take over the Medical Sweep teams at the finish line
- Presentations at the State Best practices conference and the National leadership conferences
- Being asked to be one of 8 pilot Core Competencies sites in the country
- Serving on the National MRC Advisory Group and the Focus groups for NACCHO
- Presented at the last 3 National Leadership conferences sponsored by the Surgeon Generals HHS
